Ingredients
- 50g Maida (All-purpose flour)
- 50g Wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 150ml milk
- 30ml vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Butter for cooking
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine Maida, wheat flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and then whisk in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix; it's okay if there are small lumps.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter.
- Pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the pan for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are set, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
- Serve the pancakes warm with your choice of toppings.
