Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt. Add the paneer cubes and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan on medium heat. Add the marinated paneer cubes and sear them until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining oil and butter. Add the cumin seeds and sauté until aromatic.
  4. Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown. Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
  5. Add the kasuri methi and mix well, then pour in the heavy cream. Cook for another 5 minutes, ensuring the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Gently add the seared paneer cubes to the sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the paneer to absorb the flavors.
  7. Adjust salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  8. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side, along with naan or steamed rice.
